What I found (checked 27 October 2026)

  • Aerobet has the edge for Australians: it is not the casino ACMA blocked in March 2026, it adds a sportsbook, and it is run by a different company.
  • Retrobet has the bigger headline welcome, up to €15,000 (about A$23,900) plus 500 free spins, and its 50x counts the bonus only.
  • Their monthly caps are the same on paper, €15,000 (about A$23,900); Aerobet pays daily, Retrobet weekly.
  • Neither runs a confirmed no-deposit bonus, and neither lists PayID.

My verdict

Pick Aerobet if you are in Australia, bet on sport, or want to move away from Retrobet’s operator altogether. Retrobet only wins on the size of its welcome and a longer public track record, and neither helps while ACMA’s block stops the site loading for Australians.

I checked Retrobet on 27 October 2026 and Aerobet on 21–27 October 2026, using the licence records, operator pages, review sites and Trustpilot. Retrobet publishes its bonus and limits in euros; I converted them at A$1.59 per euro (ECB reference rate, 26 October 2026) and rounded. One review shows the same welcome tiers in AUD at face value, so an AUD account may see A$15,000 rather than about A$23,900. Winberry figures are its Canadian terms, converted at about A$1.01 per C$.

The count favours Retrobet on paper, but the two rows Aerobet wins, Australian access and sport, are the ones that decide whether you can play at all.

Welcome bonus compared

Retrobet spreads up to €15,000 (about A$23,900) and 500 free spins over four deposits: 100% up to €1,000 (about A$1,590) with 100 spins, 100% up to €3,000 (about A$4,780) with 100 spins, then 50% up to €5,000 (about A$7,960) and 50% up to €6,000 (about A$9,560) with 100 and 200 spins. Each stage has its own code. Aerobet’s welcome is up to 600% plus 450 free spins across several deposits.

The wagering base matters more than the headline. Retrobet’s 50x counts the bonus only, so a A$100 bonus means A$5,000 of bets within seven days. Aerobet’s 35x counts bonus plus deposit, so A$100 plus A$100 means A$7,000. Run both through my wagering calculator.

In practice: Retrobet’s offer is cheaper to clear at 100%, but its last two stages are 50% matches and its seven-day limit is tight.

Aerobet sportsbook, games and extras

The Aerobet sportsbook is the clearest difference. Aerobet runs a full sportsbook with live betting and eSports beside about 4,200 slots from 70 to 88 studios, plus live tables, crash games, “Aerobet Miles”, a Lucky Wheel and missions.

Retrobet is casino-only. Review counts range from 4,000 to more than 11,000 games from roughly 120 to 340 studios, with live tables from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live and Ezugi, a bonus-buy section, daily cashback of up to 15%, “Retro Box” and “Retro Spin” rewards, and RetroBet Coins for a bonus shop.

Both casinos publish limits in euros; I converted them at A$1.59 per euro (ECB, 26 October 2026) and rounded. KingBonus quotes Retrobet's cap as €2,500 a week and €12,000 a month (about A$3,980 and A$19,110).

In practice: a A$4,000 win takes one weekly request at Retrobet or five daily requests at Aerobet.

Licence and trust

Retrobet’s licence is the stronger document: the Curaçao regulator’s own record shows Stable Tech N.V., licence OGL/2024/161/0191, active since 16 July 2024, with retrobet.com on its approved domain list. Its public record is long, 345 Trustpilot reviews at 2.7 out of 5, and the one-star reviews repeat the same themes: pending withdrawals and repeated verification.

Aerobet shows one licence, Anjouan ALSI-152406050-FI4, under Hazy Ltd, and has a short record: 2.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot from six reviews, with complaints about voided winnings after verification and the daily cap. More on Retrobet in my Retrobet review.

Retrobet vs Aerobet: FAQ

  • Is Aerobet better than Retrobet for Australians?

For most Australians, yes. Retrobet has been on ACMA’s blocked list since 18 March 2026, while Australian reviews describe Aerobet taking AUD players. Aerobet also adds a sportsbook and is run by a different company. Retrobet keeps the larger welcome and a longer record, but neither matters much if the site will not load.

  • What is the Aerobet withdrawal limit compared with Retrobet?

Aerobet caps withdrawals at €500 a day, about A$800, and €15,000 a month, about A$23,900. Retrobet’s cap is €3,000 a week, about A$4,780, and €15,000 a month, about A$23,900, per LCB and AskGamblers; KingBonus quotes €2,500 a week and €12,000 a month (about A$3,980 and A$19,110) instead. Over a week, daily requests at Aerobet add up to slightly more.

  • Does Retrobet have a sportsbook like Aerobet?

No. Retrobet is casino-only: slots, live tables from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live and Ezugi, and instant games. Aerobet runs a full sportsbook with live betting and eSports under the same login and balance as its casino, with a separate sports welcome of 100% up to about A$490.

  • Which welcome bonus is easier to clear, Aerobet or Retrobet?

On a 100% match, Retrobet’s. Its 50x counts the bonus only, so a A$100 bonus means A$5,000 of bets. Aerobet’s 35x counts bonus plus deposit, so A$100 plus A$100 means A$7,000. Retrobet’s third and fourth stages are only 50% matches, which makes the bigger tiers slower to build.

  • Do Aerobet and Retrobet take PayID?

Neither lists it. Aerobet’s payment page and LCB show cards, e-wallets, Neosurf and seven coins, but no PayID or POLi. No source I read lists PayID or POLi for Retrobet either; it takes cards, Skrill, Neteller, MiFinity, Jeton, Neosurf, Apple Pay and eight or more cryptocurrencies.

  • Who owns Aerobet and who owns Retrobet?

Aerobet is run by Hazy Ltd, registered in Anjouan, under licence ALSI-152406050-FI4. Retrobet is run by Stable Tech N.V. in Curaçao under licence OGL/2024/161/0191, according to the regulator’s own record; older reviews name Hollycorn N.V. The two casinos share no company I could find.

  • Can I use one account for Aerobet's casino and sportsbook?

Yes. Aerobet uses one account and one balance for the casino and the sportsbook, so you deposit once and move between them. The casino and sports welcome offers are separate, and each has its own wagering, so read which one you are activating before your first deposit.

I am Alisa Naumova, editor of Retrobet Alternatives. I compare Retrobet with offshore casinos that Australians look at instead, using only what a reader can check: the company and licence number behind each brand, the regulator’s register, the bonus terms as written, payment methods, withdrawal caps converted to A$, and what review sites and players report. I date every figure, keep conflicting sources side by side and re-read the terms each month. I do not deposit or play for these guides, and affiliate links never change a verdict. My reviewer profile is on Trustpilot.
